Fruits and Vegetables Prevent Baldness

The body needs protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals to make hair grow strong and prevent hair loss. There are some fruits and vegetables that can help you avoid falls.

Inadequate nutrition, diet or illness can cause extreme hair loss. Eat a balanced diet high in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, B and C, and iron will help your hair thick and prevents hair loss.

Here are some fruits and vegetables can prevent hair loss, as reported by Livestrong, Tuesday (24/04/2012):

1. Carrots:

Carrots are a source of vitamin A, which can keep the scalp healthy. Try eating carrots and hummus for a healthy dose of protein, monounsaturated fat and complex carbohydrates.

2. Orange

Citrus fruits contain inositol, a type of sugar related to glucose, which is also known as vitamin Bh. Not only lowers cholesterol and helps the body break down fats, inositol also stop thinning hair and can protect against hair loss.

 3. Green leafy vegetables

Old spinach, Swiss chard, collards and bok choy all contain vitamin A and C, which helps the body produce sebum. Sebum is an oily substance produced by hair follicles, acts as a natural konditioner for your hair.

Vegetables also contain calcium and iron, two minerals necessary for hair growth.

4. Red peppers

Red peppers contain more vitamin C than a cup of orange juice. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that improves circulation to the scalp and promote hair growth.

5. Avocado

Avocados are a source of vitamin E, which is important for healthy hair growth. Other sources of vitamin E include olive oil, vegetable oils, nuts and seeds.

6. Cherry

Cherry juice is a rich source of iron. Anemia is often the cause of hair loss, so make sure your diet contains adequate amounts of iron to prevent anemia. Green leafy vegetables, dates, raisins and dried fruits are also high in iron.

7. Berries

Blueberries, raspberries and cranberries contain powerful antioxidants that promote hair growth by increasing circulation to the scalp. Dark pigmentation in the fruit came from healthy bioflavonoids, rich in vitamin C.
